This work is a smaller iteration of my previous series, inspired from my time walking in the Wissahickon Valley in Philadelphia, PA. I think of these as sorbet - a break to think about where I'm going next. These pieces are smaller, but exist on their own, independently and I hope will be studies for much larger work. They are a fusion of three dimensional drawing and painting, constructed from pieces of formed watercolor paper, painted with acrylic and watercolor, and then assembled. They continue my work from the past few years, which has all been three dimensional, non-representational, and hangs on the wall.
